I've spent much of my life around boats-canoes and sail boats. Van Stueben House w/egretFrom my earliest adventures in the family rowboat....how I remember the mortification of being rescued from the houses down and, most importantly, the lesson I learned. 'Always head upwind first.' Which can be extrapolated into a life lesson...do the hardwork first.

solo plusRecently I aquired a Wenonah Solo Plus canoe...which has given me a new perspective on much of the world and vast enjoyment. The pleasure of floating down a beautiful river on a bueautiful day, sun on the waters...or the thrill of navigating a rapids...or the pleasures of canoe camping, letting you get far enough from civilization to feel apart, yet letting you carry enough of the comforts of civiliization to be really comfortable.
